Tide dry cleaners on a roll

Robert Lyons and Jon Kassolis were among the first in the country to open Tide-branded dry cleaners in Naples a year ago.

Now, they've recently opened a second location in Bonita Springs and plan to open at least five more stores. “It was a great first year,” says Lyons. “We met and exceeded expectations.”

In addition to more locations in Lee and Collier counties, the business partners plan to open locations in Sarasota and Palm Beach counties. “We're looking at a couple locations in Sarasota that we're excited about,” Lyons says.

Lyons says he's confident the stores can attract customers who are unhappy with the service they're getting from their existing dry cleaners. “We felt that there's an opportunity in the market,” he says.

Besides being open seven days a week, the Tide stores offer an ATM-style system that lets customers pick up their clothes when the store is closed. The stores also feature covered drive-thru lanes so customers don't have to get out of their cars to drop off or pick up their dry cleaning.
