PwC names new tax leader for Florida

TAMPA — Accounting firm PwC US has appointed Brian Lukasik new tax leader for the firm's Florida market. Based in Tampa, Lukasik has more than 23 years of accounting experience working with clients across several industries, including automotive and industrial products.

Lukasik started his career in 1991 with Arthur Andersen, where he eventually rose to tax senior manager and director. He joined the then PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2001 as a tax director in the Detroit office. Lukasik became a partner in the firm in 2004. Most recently he served as a tax engagement partner focusing on Florida-based Fortune 1000 companies.

“We are fortunate to have such a strong leader in our market,” Mario de Armas, managing partner of PwC's Florida market, says in a press release. “With his leadership, we will continue to grow our tax practice and drive high levels of client satisfaction throughout Florida.”

In his new role, Lukasik will continue to provide global tax compliance and consulting services to Fortune 1,000 companies based in Florida.
