NAPLES — Film-production company ITZ Studios plans to shoot a television pilot in Southwest Florida with a cast and crew of 50 people called The Alibi Boys in June.

“The Alibi Boys is a comedy about two penniless college roommates who realize that they can combine their talents and create significant income by selling lies, falsehoods and alibis to wealthy friends, neighbors and total strangers,” says ITZ Executive Producer Chuck Ardezzone, in a statement. “Of course, their deception comes at a price, for both their clients and themselves.”

Once it finishes the pilot, the company will shop it to the television networks. ITZ Studios recently sold its first national television show, Tobacco Wars, a weekly reality series set in the Kentucky's tobacco industry, now airing Saturday evenings on CMT.
