ST. PETERSBURG — SalonCentric Inc., a Largo-based subsidiary of L'Oreal USA that distributes professional salon products, has leased a large portion of the office space at Cardinal Point at Gateway building in St. Petersburg.

The space, which totals 52,533 square feet, will house SalonCentric's national administrative offices. SalonCentric currently operates an office and distribution center in Pinellas County.

Cardinal Point Management LLC owns the two-story building, located at 10101 Martin Luther King Jr. St. N., St. Petersburg. It acquired the 87,000-square-foot building in December 2011.

Paula Buffa and James Moler of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord and James Hall and Edward Dudzinski of Atlantic Real Estate Services represented SalonCentric.

“This is excellent space, but the building needed to be renovated and modernized,” Moler says in a press release. “By working with Cardinal Point Management, we were able to position the property as viable Class A space and then quickly find the right tenant.”

The renovations and upgrades to the SalonCentric space are scheduled for completion in the coming months, and SalonCentric expects to move in during the third quarter, around September.
