Residential insurance company SafePoint Insurance Co. purchased the 12,520-square-foot Grand Oaks at Tampa Telecom Park office building for $1.58 million.
The price equated to $126 per square foot. That figure is close to the two-year average price per square foot for office space ($131) in the Tampa Bay area, according to the CoStar Group.
The single-story office building is located in Tampa Telecom Park between Park Centre Intellicenter and Telecom at Riverbend.
Safepoint officials did not respond to requests for comment.
The young Tampa company SafePoint Insurance entered the Florida insurance market in February, after receiving a state license last November.
