FORT MYERS — A new Harley-Davidson store under development in Fort Myers will feature an entertainment venue with room for 5,000 people.

Scott Fischer Enterprises unveiled specifics of the new Six Bends dealership off Daniels Parkway and Interstate 75 in Fort Myers on Thursday. The 16.5-acre project is scheduled to open this fall.

In addition to the entertainment venue, Six Bends will include a 54,000-square-foot store that's nearly the size of a football field and a rider-education track. The second phase of the project will include two additional mixed-used commercial buildings that will open in 2015.

The new facility will replace the current dealership on Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers and the company plans to boost employment by 40%. The term Six Bends refers to the number of bends in a motorcycle handlebar.
