TAMPA — TD Bank has promoted Michael Nursey to market president for Central Florida, the company says in a statement. He is now responsible for overseeing TD Bank's commercial, middle market and small business operations in the Tampa-St. Petersburg, Orlando, Lakeland and Melbourne metropolitan areas.

Nursey joined TD Bank in 2012, most recently serving as regional vice president in Jacksonville. He has more than 24 years of experience in business, industrial and commercial real estate banking and lending. Prior to joining TD Bank, he worked for Regions Bank as senior vice president for commercial and industrial banking.

Nursey will be based in Tampa and have an office in Winter Park.

“Mike successfully served our business customers in Jacksonville, and he is now bringing his years of experience and expertise to Central Florida...,” Ernie Diaz, TD Bank's regional president for Florida, says in the statement. “I know that as market president, he will help Central Florida companies gain access to needed credit and services to help them grow and succeed.”

Cherry Hill, N.J.-based TD Bank is one of the 10 largest banks in the United States and has more than 8 million customers.
