TAMPA— Craft Equipment Co. is moving its Tampa headquarters to help it better handle its growth.

The business is relocating its corporate headquarters to a 44,100-square-foot location at 1820 Massaro Blvd., Tampa away from a 17,000-square-foot office and warehouse space at 6801 E. Adamo Drive, Tampa. Craft Equipment built the Adamo Drive facility it has operated from since 1973.

The new location will offer the company 12,200 square feet of office space and a 4.5-acre paved and lighted area adjacent to the building for parking, storage and rebuilding and manufacturing equipment.

The company says the new location will allow it to better handle additional equipment, inventory and personnel.

“The move reflects the significant growth at Craft Equipment over the last three years and is long overdue,” Craft President and CEO Don Mays, says in a press release. “This will allow us to triple our productivity, enhance our commitment to customer support, and significantly improve the process of installation and repair.”

This move comes on the heels of Craft Equipment's recent purchase of Fort Lauderdale-based American Waste Control.

Currently, Craft Equipment has more than 20 locations throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. Founded in 1971, Craft Equipment is a full-service, waste reduction, material handling and construction specialty equipment distributor.
