Commissioner becomes airport chairman

FORT MYERS — The Lee County Board of Port Commissioners elected Larry Kiker to be chairman of the agency that oversees the operations of Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field.

In addition, the board elected Brian Hamman as the vice chairman. Both Kiker and Hamman currently serve as Lee County commissioners.

Southwest Florida International is one of the nation's 50 largest airports with more than 7 million passengers traveling through the facility annually. Page Field is the business and general-aviation airport in Fort Myers.
