Hudson medical center hires chief medical officer

HUDSON — Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson has appointed Dr. Joseph Pino as its chief medical officer. Pino has been a primary care physician for 30 years.

“This appointment is a fitting result of Dr. Pino's exceptional career in medicine,” Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point's CEO Shayne George says in a statement.

Pino's new duties will include promoting HCA's quality and patient-centered care initiatives. Pino will also be involved in Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point's new Graduate Medical Education program. He has also been appointed as clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Regional Medical Center Bayonet is a 290-bed acute care hospital with more than 350 physicians and 900 employees.
