NAPLES — Quarles & Brady, a 400-attorney firm based in Wisconsin with offices in Naples and Tampa, has appointed Kimberly Leach Johnson as its next chairperson starting Oct. 1, the firm announced.

John Daniels Jr., the firm's current chairman, will become chairman emeritus and Frederick Lautz has been reappointed as Quarles' managing partner.

Johnson was most recently chair of Quarles & Brady's finance committee and managing partner of the Naples and Tampa offices, and she continues to serve as a member of the firm's elected executive committee. The Naples attorney practices in the area of trusts and estates and is the first woman elected to chair the 120-year-old firm.

“There are many outstanding partners at Quarles who could lead us forward, but Kim is a perfect reflection of the firm's tradition of practice excellence and its progressive vision,” says Daniels in a statement.

Quarles & Brady's 400 attorneys practice from offices in Naples, Tampa, Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz., Chicago, Madison and Milwaukee, Wis., Washington, D.C., and Shanghai, China.
