TAMPA — Online education firm Bisk Education of Tampa has sold its continuing professional education and certified public accountant (CPA) test preparation services division to Thomson Reuters' Tax & Accounting Business.

Included in the sale is Bisk CPEasy, America's best-selling education programs for public and industry CPAs since 1971, and Bisk's CPA Review, a program to help CPA candidates pass the Uniform CPA Exam, Bisk says in a statement. The company did not disclose terms of the sale.

The division is expected to complement Thomson Reuters' existing continuing professional education business line.

“Going back 42 years, Bisk CPA Review and CPEasy provided the base from which we grew the company,” Nathan Bisk, founder/chairman and CEO of Bisk Education, says in the statement. “With this sale we now have a single focus toward our online higher education business. Thomson Reuters and our customers will benefit as the CPEasy and CPA Review product lines will be supported by the world's leading source of intelligent information in the tax and accounting marketplace.”
