ST. PETERSBURG — Synovus Bank of Florida, a division of Synovus Bank, has hired John Fillingim to serve as senior lender, executive vice president and director of commercial banking, the bank says in a statement.
In his new role, Fillingim will oversee commercial banking, commercial real estate and business banking divisions. This includes all sales, business development and strategic plans for these lines of business, the company says.
Fillingim comes to Synovus Bank from BMO Harris Bank in Tampa, where he was senior vice president of the special accounts management unit for the Florida and Kansas City regions. He is a graduate of the University of Florida.
