FORT MYERS — Realtors in Fort Myers say they've agreed to join their counterparts in other areas of Southwest Florida on the same multiple-listing service.
The agreement resolves a thorny issue that caused Realtors throughout the region to subscribe to several different services to view each others' real estate listings.
The Realtor Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach says it has agreed to list real estate properties on Matrix, the same service that caters to the Bonita-Estero Association of Realtors, the Cape Coral Association of Realtors and the Naples Area Board of Realtors.
The Fort Myers association, which has 4,300 members, says data will be available on the Matrix system Oct. 21.
“This shared format is a great benefit to members of these MLS and will help Realtors better serve their customers,” says a statement from the Fort Myers association.
