SARASOTA — MobileBits, a mobile marketing technology firm, signed a deal to deliver its Samy shopping app in more than 100 DLC Management Corp. shopping malls nationwide.

The Samy Smartphone application, according to MobileBits, creates and manages mobile campaigns, deals, offers, loyalty and rewards to a subscribed mobile consumer. Samy, free on Apple iOS and Google Android devices, will now include a DLC-branded storefront for each property in the firm's 117 shopping malls, which spread from Fort Myers to California. This will provide shoppers a mobile app to receive exclusive offers and coupons, according to a release.

“We believe Samy delivers extraordinary value to the DLC family and provides a hand-on approach to cutting through the noise and connecting with consumers,” MobileBits President and CEO Walter Kostiuk says in the statement. “With Samy, DLC retailers now have an answer to the challenge of engaging customers, whether on or off property, virtually anywhere, any time.”  '¨
Tarrytown, N.Y.-based DLC Management, the release states, will market Samy within its shopping center properties and promote the application to shoppers. “DLC is continually looking for ways to enhance the everyday shopping experience at its centers and seeking ways to help our retailers succeed,” DLC Chief Operating Officer Daniel Taub says in the statement.

Sarasota-based MobileBits recently announced expansion plans, including hiring up to 40 employees over the next three years.
