Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall voted on the county's crucial annual budget after she admitted stealing campaign funds, documents show.

Hall signed a plea agreement with federal prosecutors Sept. 16, court records filed on Sept. 23 show. Two days after she signed the document, on Sept. 18, Hall voted to approve Lee County's annual budget as a member of the county commission. While the vote wasn't close, it was one of the most important of the year.

Hall announced her resignation on Sept. 23 after federal prosecutors filed her agreement to plead guilty to one count of wire fraud. According to the U.S. Attorney's office, Hall diverted and embezzled $33,756 of donor contributions to her 2010 election for personal expenditures at luxury stores and for her mortgage.
