Developers: Show us the land

Here's another sign that the demand for residential and commercial land in Collier County is heating up.

Naples-based residential brokerage firm John R. Wood Realtors recently formed a new division called JRW Developer Resources to help developers identify land for future projects and provide strategic and marketing assistance.

Demand for new homes has increased and builders are scrambling to find lots for future construction. The inventory of existing homes has declined and values of existing homes have risen to the point that new construction is competitive again. Meanwhile, retail development is starting again as developers follow the rooftops.

During the downturn, land sat idle as development came to a standstill. Some developers with foresight acquired the best-located parcels several years ago but now new entrants into the market are finding it a challenge to find reasonably priced deals.
The firm knows the territory. John R. Wood has more than 300 agents in the region and has had a presence in the market for 55 years.
