Ashton Woods Homes purchased 39 lots in the new phase of Rosedale Golf & Country Club called Rosedale Links for $3.35 million.

The price equated to $86,000 per lot.

The takedown was only the first for the homebuilder, which has committed to buying a total of 140 lots.

Ashton Woods Homes is scheduled to have its three model homes completed in the community in about a month and furnished shortly thereafter, according to Michael Roche, vice president of sales and marketing for the homebuilder.

“We are estimating five to six months to be fully operational there,” he says. “We plan to have six new floor plans there.”

Homes will range from 1,962 to 3,000 square feet and start in the low $300,000s.

The first phase of Rosedale Links, which covers 237 acres, will contain a total of 445 home lots. M/I Homes and John Cannon Homes have also committed to buying lots in the eastern Manatee County golf community's new section.

Along with the 18-hole semi-private golf course, the existing Rosedale Golf & Country Club community features five tennis courts and a 22,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center and swimming pool.
