FORT MYERS — The Realtor Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach named Terry Penza as CEO of the 4,300-member group, the eighth largest in the state.

Penza replaced Peggy Hummel, who resigned in September. Penza most recently served as CEO of the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors in Illinois.

“Terry has a proven track record of keeping pace with industry changes, and her association management philosophy focuses on adaptability, connectivity and staying in touch with members,” says Doreen Falcone, association president, in a statement.

In November, the National Association of Realtors presented Penza with the William R. Magel Award, which honors an individual who has excelled in her role as an association executive of a local or state Realtor association.

“With more than 30 years of service to the real estate industry and Realtor associations, Terry Penza exemplifies the type of leadership and commitment that our search committee looked for in selecting a new CEO,” says Falcone in the statement.
