Adams and Reese law firm expands to Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE — The law firm of Adams and Reese LLP, with locations in Tampa, Tallahassee, St. Petersburg and Sarasota, has merged with the Jacksonville firm of Volpe, Bajalia, Wickes, Rogerson & Wachs to create the firm's fifth location in Florida.

The merger adds 12 attorneys to the roster of New Orleans-based Adams and Reese, for a total of 313 attorneys.

Timothy W. Volpe, shareholder of the Volpe, Bajalia firm, will serve as partner in charge of the Jacksonville office. Adams and Reese Managing Partner Charles P. Adams Jr. and Volpe announced the merger.

“Our firm's strategic plan directs selective growth in targeted markets, and Jacksonville has been in our sights for some time,” Adams says in a statement.

The merger provides Adams and Reese with Volpe, Bajalia's expertise in complex commercial and business litigation, antitrust issues, appellate practice, bankruptcy and creditors' rights.

Adams and Reese has 15 offices in 14 markets in the U.S., according to the firm's release.The National Law Journal lists the firm on the “NLJ 250'³ list of the nation's largest law firms.
