SARASOTA — Naples-based DeAngelis Diamond Construction, the fourth-largest commercial construction company on the Gulf Coast, has launched a new division in Sarasota that will specialize in health care facilities.

The firm, under the name DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group, leased a 1,641-square-foot office in the Live Oak Corporate Center on Cattlemen Road, according to a release. The local staff, the statement says, has more than 200 years of combined health care construction experience. That ranges from small multi-phased renovations to projects in excess of $100 million.

Business partners David Diamond and John DeAngelis run the firm, which had $100 million in 2012 revenues, up 13% from $88.5 million in 2011. Diamond and DeAngelis, who founded the company in 1996, also invest in startup technology businesses.
