Saint Leo appoints new head of business affairs

SAINT LEO — Jeanne T. Plecenik has been appointed vice president of business affairs at Saint Leo University, north of Tampa, according to a release. She oversees finance, risk management, technology and regulatory issues at the university.

Plecenik has nearly 30 years' experience in finance and accounting, and was formerly chief financial officer at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. She has an M.B.A. from Mount Saint Mary College and is a doctoral candidate in finance at Pace University.

Saint Leo University is one of the largest Catholic universities in the United States, with an enrollment of about 16,000 students, according to university officials. It offers more than 40 academic programs. Saint Leo provides education centers in seven states, as well as an online program.

The university partners with a number of armed forces organizations to provide degree programs to military personnel, and offers education centers on military bases in several states.
