FORT MYERS — Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida selected Gail Markham and Bob Simpson to the Lee County Business Hall of Fame. They will be inducted at a ceremony April 10.

The award recognizes business leaders who serve as role models for young people through their professional accomplishments and community involvement. Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating children about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy.

Markham is a partner in the accounting firm of Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co., a Fort Myers-based firm she founded in 1979. Markham was instrumental in establishing the PACE Center for Girls in Lee County, a center for at-risk girls. She is currently board president of PACE Center for Girls and is active in its capital campaign for campus expansion.

Simpson has served as president and CEO of LeeSar's Supply Chain Management Division and Cooperative Services of Florida since 2002. He is also the founder and president of Project Perfect World, which takes medical teams around the world to provide free surgery for needy children.
