Pulte Home Corp. expands Del Webb holdings

BUYER: Pulte Home Corp., Bonita Springs

SELLER: Barron Collier Partnership LLLP

PROPERTY: a portion of Bears South, Ave Maria legally known as a portion of tracts 106, 107, 108, 109, 112, 113, 115 and L, Ave Maria unit 3 Del Webb phase 1

PRICE: $1 million

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Coleman Yovanovich & Koester PA, Naples

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Bloomfield Hill, Mich.-based Pulte Homes is enlarging its Del Webb community in Ave Maria. The national homebuilder just purchased another 28 acres there from Barron Collier Partnership LLLP for $1 million.

The price equated to $35,714 per acre.

“Based on the improvements we saw in 2012, we went in and made a further investment in the community,” says Scott Mairn, vice president of sales and marketing for Pulte Group South Florida. “That market like most markets in Collier County is on the comeback. The market is particularly strong in eastern Collier County.”

The community features the recently opened 12,000-square-foot Oasis Club, which includes a fitness center, resort pool and spa, lap pool and tennis, pickleball and bocce ball courts.
