A pair of Sarasota-Bradenton family-owned businesses has joined forces in a unique holiday season promotion.
The deal: Buy a qualified wine storage refrigerator at Rice's Appliance & TV in Bradenton and receive a gift card worth up to $200 for the wine cellar at Michael's on East in Sarasota.
The offer, good through Dec. 31, was announced to coincide with what's been tagged 'Small Business Saturday,' the small business community's answer to post-Thanksgiving shopping day Black Friday. “As we plan our seasonal promotions, we consistently look to forge partnerships with independent, community-minded organizations,” says John Rice with Rice's Appliance & TV in a release.
Rice's has several wine cooler brands, the release states, including GE Monogram, Marvel and Sub-Zero, both in under-counter and freestanding options. Some models have dual temperature zones for storing both red and white wines. The reward certificates for Michael's Wine Cellar, meanwhile, are available in values of $100 and $200, depending on the refrigerator. The wine cellar at Michael's on East, a prominent Sarasota restaurant, has one of the most recognized wine collections on the Gulf Coast.
“Although we appreciate the attention Small Business Saturday brings to the importance of supporting locally owned and operated businesses, what's so vital to our community is the commitment to shopping local, independent businesses year-round,” Michael's Wine Cellar co-proprietor Michael Klauber says in the release. “I've purchased appliances personally from the Rice family over the years, and I'm privileged to have called their family clients as well.”
