PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Beth Kompothecras, owner of So Staged Events & Rentals, purchased a 15,000-square-foot industrial building for $735,000.
The price equated to $49 per square foot. That figure is near the two-year average price per square foot for industrial space ($46) in the Tampa Bay area, according to the CoStar Group.
The vacant building features a designer showroom, 10,000 square feet of air-conditioned space and more than an acre of parking.
Kompothecras plans to relocate her business and its wedding/event staging equipment over to the building from its roughly 2,500-square-foot current location. She plans to break up the showroom space into smaller sections to display the various staging options.
“We've outgrown where we are now,” Kompothecras says. “We need a lot of storage. We'll probably start moving in the next couple weeks.”
