ST. PETERSBURG - St. Petersburg-based United Insurance Holdings Corp. (UPC Insurance) announced it has appointed Andrew Swenson as vice president and chief information officer. Swenson will oversee directing and enhancing UPC Insurance's information and technology infrastructure, according to a news release.
Swenson has more than 30 years of experience running IT operations. Since 1982, he has worked in government, middle market and Fortune 500 companies including Sykes Enterprises as chief information officer and ABR Information Systems. Swenson holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional designation and is a member of multiple technology advisory boards.
“We are very pleased to welcome Andy to the UPC Insurance executive management team,” says John Forney, chief executive officer of UPC Insurance, in the release. “He brings extensive information technology leadership experience, and has led the IT infrastructure build-out for rapidly growing publicly held corporations.”
