PALM HARBOR — Privately held wholesaler DVA Inc. will open its first retail store next week in north Palm Harbor. The 12,000-square-foot store, Kugler's Golo Outlet, will sell clothing, movies, music, electronics, housewares, and other items, says spokesman Alan Mehanna.

A grand opening is scheduled for Dec. 7, at the store, located at 31555 U.S. Highway 19 in north Palm Harbor. Founded in 1988, DVA is a wholesale liquidation specialist that sells excess inventory and overstock items.

The retail store is the first in the company's history, says Mehanna. The items for sale are new and affordably priced, although some liquidated merchandise may have damage, according to a company statement.

Since the company's founding, it has paid out nearly $500 million to businesses from small companies to Fortune 500 firms as it removed unwanted inventory, says Brad Kugler, CEO and owner of DVA, in a statement.

Removing the goods helped many struggling companies to move forward and become more viable and solvent, notes Kugler.
