Naples home prices rise

NAPLES — The median price of an existing single-family home in Naples rose 24% in October to $235,000 compared with October 2011, according to the Naples Area Board of Realtors.

Meanwhile, the number of existing single-family home sales rose 2% to 305 in October compared with the same month one year ago. Notably, the number of sales in the $300,000 to $500,000 price range rose 66% in October.

The median price of an existing condo in Naples rose 18% to $153,000 in October compared with the same month in 2011. The number of sales of existing condos in October surged 41% to 337.

Inventories of existing single-family homes and condos have both declined in the past year ending in October. In that period, the inventory of single-family homes fell 13% to 2,885 and the inventory of condos fell 13% to 3,383.
