Harbor Nissan owner buys nearby Port Charlotte property

SELLER: Ryszard Lechowski

PROPERTY: 4329-4336 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte

PRICE: $1.1 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $750,000, February 2011

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Wotitzky Wotitzky Ross & McKinley, Punta Gorda

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Freeland Moore Inc., the owner/operator of Harbor Nissan, purchased the 1.85-acre former Southern Trust Auto car dealership site for $1.1 million.

The property, which is across the street from Harbor Nissan, houses a 5,365-square-foot vacant building with four service bays, a kitchen/break room and multiple offices. In the past Harbor Nissan has arranged to temporarily sell cars from the unused property for special events.

Southern Trust Auto relocated to 329 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte more than a year ago.

Chuck Thomas and Pete Walsh of Maxim Commercial Real Estate LLC represented the seller and Gary Tasman of Commercial Property Southwest Florida represented the buyer.

Calls to Freeland Moore were not returned prior to deadline.

The buyer mortgaged the property to Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. for $9.44 million.
