CLEARWATER — Priority One Clearing Services Inc., one of the top four magazine subscription brokers in the U.S., has moved its headquarters to 1151 N.E. Cleveland St.

In 2011, Priority One processed more than 3 million magazine subscriptions, and the company projects 15% growth this year.

Founded in 2008 in Clearwater, Priority One brokers magazine subscriptions for consumer magazine publishers. Dawn Daugherty runs the privately held company and invested more than $50,000 to refurbish a vacant building built in 1975 that is now Priority One's new headquarters. The company moved from a location on Myrtle Street in Clearwater.

“There is a lot of potential for downtown Clearwater, and we believe that it is an ideal spot for businesses to locate,” Daugherty said. “We want to be part of the initiative and we are hoping that our presence here helps attract the attention of other businesses.”
An open house and ribbon cutting will be held June 6 at the new location.
