FORT MYERS — Appliance-repair and insurance company Home-Tech opened a 10,400-square-foot office, showroom and technical-training center in Bradenton.

Home-Tech, which provides repairs and insurance contracts on residential appliances and air-conditioning units, will service Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota from the new center.

Previously, Home-Tech provided service to the Sarasota area from an office in Venice. The new Bradenton facility is located at 5205 Lena Road.

Home-Tech, founded in 1981 by entrepreneur Steve Marino in Fort Myers, is privately held and employee-owned. The company employs 135 people.
