ST. PETERSBURG — The Sembler Co., a St.Petersburg-based retail real estate development company that has developed more than 325 projects, recently announced the appointment of Greg Sembler as board chairman as well as the promotions of Ronald Wheeler and Sean Davis.

Sembler replaces his father, Mel Sembler, at the new position with the latter remaining with the firm as chairman emeritus. Wheeler, who has been with the company for 15 years, will move from COO to CEO, and the five-year veteran Davis was named chief investment officer after serving as vice president of investments.

The Sembler Co. also operates offices in Atlanta and Puerto Rico, where the firm acquired four shopping centers in a partnership with the Tampa-based Forge Capital Partners earlier this year.
