Morton Plant Mease Health Care buys Trinity land for future

BUYER: Morton Plant Mease Health Care Inc. (principals: Glenn Waters, Ed Armstrong, Mahesh Amin, William Horne and Robert McGivney), Clearwater

SELLER: Trinity Corporate Holdings Ltd.

PROPERTY: a portion of State Road 54, New Port Richey also known as lots 1-4 Trinity Corporate Center

PRICE: $1.4 million

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Hobby & Hobby PA, New Port Richey

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Morton Plant Mease Health Care, which operates the 687-bed Morton Plant Hospital, purchased four acres of raw land near Trinity Boulevard for $1.4 million.

The price equated to $350,000 per acre.

The buyer, which is part of the BayCare System, has no immediate plans for the property, according to Beth Hardy, public relations manager for Morton Plant Mease Health Care.

“As we are doing our planning, we may purchase property and then look at developing what best meets the communities future needs,” Hardy says. “This is one of those cases.”
