BUYER: CENTFL LLC (principals: Grant and Rebecca Medlin), Sullivan, Mo.

SELLER: KDM Associates Inc.

PROPERTY: 502 E. Park Road, Plant City

PRICE: $1.8 million

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Trinkle Redman Swanson Coton Davis & Smith PA, Plant City

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Grant and Rebecca Medlin, owners of Ditch Witch of Central and South Florida, purchased the 8.92-acre former Plant City Use Care Supercenter dealership for $1.8 million.

The price equated to $201,794 per acre.

The property features a 24,090-square-foot building and a 27,283-square-foot building.

Ditch Witch of Central and South Florida plans to relocate its smaller Leesburg operations over to the Plant City site.

“This is about getting closer to our customers,” says Dusty Cinnamon, general manager and sales manager for the Ditch Witch dealer/servicer. “We were founded up north, but the majority of our business is to the south in Tampa and Orlando. We are getting it renovated so that we can move in by the end of the year.”

The Medlins purchased the Ditch Witch business in February and decided the Leesburg facility was in the wrong location for its business. The Plant City location offered the business easy access to Interstate 4, a 20-bay parts and service facility, room for employee training and property for future expansion.

Along with interior renovation of the buildings, the new owner will be painting the buildings, asphalting the lot and installing fencing.

Ditch Witch of Central and South Florida sells, services and supports Ditch Witch construction equipment. It plans to introduce a rental and leasing program after it moves to the new location.

“We plan to have the place prepped and ready for when the economy starts to pick up,” Cinnamon says.
