HealthPlanOne opens call center

TAMPA — To support the growth of its online health care business, HealthPlanOne recently opened a new call center and brokerage in Tampa.

The call center has a capacity of up to 10,000 calls per day, and “not only provides ongoing employment opportunities in the immediate region, but will deliver a thriving business with substantial growth projections for years to come,” the company says in a news release.

To staff the center, HealthPlanOne will hold an open house 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 26 at the company's Tampa office, 4042 Park Oaks Blvd., Suite 110.

Named to Inc. Magazine's list of the top 500 fastest-growing privately held companies twice in the last four years, the national health insurance brokerage helps customers navigate and purchase plans from 40 national and most regional insurance carriers.

Founded in 2005, the company is headquartered in Shelton, Conn.
