TAMPA — Aragon Holdings, a Beverly Hills, Calif.-based real estate investment firm, is expanding to Florida, and it's looking for properties to buy in Tampa.

The firm's first purchase in the state, announced today, is in Orlando, where it acquired Abaco Key Apartment Homes, a 373-unit complex next to Disney World. The purchase price wasn't disclosed.

Aragon Holdings President Larry Clark, in a release, says the firm actively seeks to buy more multifamily properties in Tampa and Orlando. Aragon has purchased nearly 4,000 apartment units nationwide over the past four years. Its portfolio represents an investment of nearly $250 million.
