Built in late 2008, Greenwood Security LLC, the senior lender, foreclosed on the hotel in mid-2010. The extended-stay hotel features a business center, meeting room, fitness center and laundry facilities.

“Combined with our affiliation with Intercontinental Hotels Group and an average occupancy of 69% last year, we are excited about the increasing demand generators within the sub-market,” Punit Shah, president and chief operating officer of the Liberty Group of Cos., says in a press release.

The Fort Myers hotel represents the Liberty Group's 17th hotel acquisition since 2010.
