NAPLES — Air Technology Engines is expanding its facility to handle increased demand for its helicopter-engine repair business, the company says.

Air Technology says it plans to add 5,000 square feet at its facility near Naples Municipal Airport to repair helicopter engines, transmissions and other parts. Its business is growing because helicopter owners prefer to maintain their existing fleet rather than purchase new aircrafts.

Air Technology says it is seeking mechanics to work on Honeywell T53 engines. “We are very pleased to be growing in all areas of our business and we hope to employ more people in the near future,” says Mike Turner, president of Air Technology Engines, in a statement.
