FORT MYERS -- The Fort Myers-based affiliate of CB Richard Ellis has split from its corporate parent, and will operate as an independent company going forward.
The newly independent company is Commercial Real Estate Consultants, or CRE Consultants. The firm has existed since 1998, when the LLC was created as a CBRE affiliate. The company has more than 50 employees.
“This decision allows us to offer more services, more flexibility and the ability to expand our market reach,” says Randal Mercer, the company's founding partner, in an email sent to news outlets. “Our relationship with the CBRE professionals throughout Florida and the world remains deep, strong and active,” he adds.
CRE Consultants has two offices in Southwest Florida: in Fort Myers, on Metro Parkway, and in Naples, on Fifth Avenue South.
