PLANS, DESCRIPTION: A company led by Wesley Wiley, president of Prestige Spa Covers, purchased a 74,880-square-foot industrial building in Gateway Centre Business Park for $2.4 million.
The price equated to $32 per square foot.
Furniture retailer Scan Design previously used the building as a distribution point and showroom. However it consolidated its operations to its Tampa showroom and warehouse at 4221 W. Gandy Blvd., Tampa.
Prestige Spa Covers, a manufacturer of spa covers, is occupying the space. The company declined to comment on the purchase.
Paula Clair Smith of Commercial Asset Partners Realty handled the transaction.
The purchase entity, Gateway MCI LLC, mortgaged the property to the seller, S. D-Gandy LCC, for $800,000.
