R&D Cattle Co. buys Alva acreage

BUYER: R&D Cattle Co. LLC (principals: Dennis Hardiman and Kenneth Bond), Tampa

SELLER: Realmark Telegraph Creek Estates LLC and Essex Florida LLC

PROPERTY: 15551 N. River Road, Alva

PRICE: $1.2 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $7.67 million, November 2004

ATTORNEY ON DEED: Richard W. Winesett, Fort Myers

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: R&D Cattle Co. LLC purchased 450 acres of vacant land north of River Road, near the intersection of Elmwood Drive, for $1.2 million.

The price equated to $2,667 per acre.

Gary Tasman of Cushman and Wakefield, Commercial Property Southwest Florida LLC represented the seller.

“His interest was twofold; he has the immediate use of it for [grazing cattle] and the longer-term potential,” Tasman says. “It has a residential overlay on it.”
