LARGO — Ker's WingHouse Bar & Grill will open its 21st location in Gainesville in September, it says in a release.
The sports-themed wing and casual dining chain with scantily clad servers has purchased an existing restaurant at 3857 S.W. Archer Road in Gainesville. The company says it will remodel the building into a 5,540-square-foot restaurant with room for nearly 200 guests.
The Largo-based chain, founded and run by Florida Gator and former NFL player Crawford Ker, will create 70 new jobs for the area, according to the release.
"The opening of our 21(st) location in Gainesville has great significance for me, as it marks my return to the community that gave me so much during my years playing as an offensive lineman for the Florida Gators," Ker says in a release.
Ker's WingHouse currently has 20 locations throughout Florida, including restaurants in Bradenton, Brandon, Clearwater, New Port Richey, Pinellas Park, St. Petersburg, and Tampa.
