NAPLES — Clive Daniel Home, the furniture retailer launched by the Lubner family that once controlled Robb & Stucky, plans to expand to Boca Raton.

Father and son Clive and Daniel Lubner opened the first Clive Daniel Home showroom in Naples last year and the Boca Raton showroom will be the company's second location.

In a news release, the Lubners say the Naples and Boca Raton showrooms are part of a long-term plan of expansion throughout Florida and other markets.

The Lubners grew Fort Myers-based Robb & Stucky into a hugely successful 28-store upscale furniture retailer until the economic downturn slashed sales by half and a bankruptcy judge ordered the company's liquidation last year. Taiwan-based furniture entrepreneur Samuel Kuo acquired the Robb & Stucky name and is expanding the franchise. Read more about Kuo's plans for the brand here.

Clive Daniel Home appointed architect Blandine Blox as the company's director of business development and interior design for the company's east coast operations.
