TAMPA — Following the March departure of key members of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp., including former President and CEO Keith Norden, the organization has added three new directors to oversee newly created divisions, according to a news release.

Lindsey Ballas Kimball joins the EDC as the director of business recruitment after working in similar fields at Infinity Global Solutions LLC and the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission, both located in Jacksonville. Kimball will oversee a division aimed at attracting businesses to Hillsborough County.

Danielle Ruiz, who was the business development director for the Pinellas County Economic Development Department from 2003 to 2011, will hold a similar position as director of business retention and expansion in Hillsborough. This division will focus on growing firms currently headquartered in the county.

Lastly, Jennifer Mikosky will lead marketing and communications for the EDC. She has been with the organization since the middle of March.

The new hires are the first stage of a reorganization for the EDC. The changes follow the hiring of President and CEO Rick Homans, who came to the EDC Jan. 17.
