TAMPA — Hillsborough County and the University of Central Florida will offer consulting services to small businesses located in Hillsborough as part of the GrowFL initiative, according to a news release.
The program stems from the Florida Economic Gardening Institute at the University of Central Florida, which aims to lend technical assistance to CEOs of second-stage businesses. For-profit firms that have between seven and 100 employees, are based in Hillsborough County and have sales in local and outside markets can qualify for assistance, which includes market research, business strategy, search engine optimization, competitive analysis, and marketing strategies.
GrowFL is funded jointly by Hillsborough County and UCF, according to a funding map on the organization's website. Businesses can apply for the program on the GrowFL website.
