Strom Eye Center buys U.S. 41 building

BUYER: 2020 Tamiami LLC (principals: Paul Strom Jr. and Kimberly Strom), Sarasota

SELLER: Grasshoper LLC

PROPERTY: 2020 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota

PRICE: $950,000

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Robert W. Browning Jr. PA, Sarasota

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Paul Strom Jr. and Kimberly Strom, owners of the Strom Eye Center, have purchased the practice's building on U.S. 41 for $950,000.

The price equated to $298 per square foot.

The Strom Eye Center has leased the 3,189-square-foot building for the past three years. The building was constructed in 1984.

“We bought it as part of our lease agreement,” says Kimberly Strom. “We liked being close to the hospital in the medical area and the proximity to U.S. 41.”

The purchase entity 2020 Tamiami LLC has mortgaged the property to Synovus Bank for $807,500.
