TAMPA — On the Move Systems Inc., a company that specializes in aftermarket electronics accessories for automotives, made Patrick Brown its newest CEO this week.
Brown, who claims extensive experience in both renewable energy technology development as well as venture capital raising, will lead On the Move's foray into the commercial solar energy space.
In addition to seeking out private financing, Brown says On the Move will lean heavily on sources of public funding to drive the Tampa firm's early growth in the solar sector.
“Government subsidies and tax incentives are a major driver in the growth of solar and clean-energy technology,” Brown says in a company release announcing his appointment. “We will be making a commitment to fully leverage those funding opportunities in order to maximize our projects' potential.”
Brown replaces Chet Gutowski as On the Move's lead executive. Gutowski resigned earlier this year to pursue other business opportunities.
