FORT MYERS — Comefly, a Danish travel company, will offer nonstop service to Aalborg, Denmark, out of Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers later this year.

Earlier this year, Comefly offered the same service for five weeks in June and July, presumably as a way to test consumer interest in the new route. Now, the company is committed to resuming that service on Mondays from Dec. 19 through April 9, 2012.

Comefly provides the service to Denmark's fourth-largest city through a partnership with Monarch Airlines, a U.K.-based firm. Monarch uses a 358-seat A330 aircraft to transport passengers.

More than 7.5 million passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport in 2010.
