BUYER: RES Myers Holdings LLC (principal: Reinhold Schmieding), Naples

SELLER: Ryan Plantation Road LLC

PROPERTY: 14550 Plantation Road, Fort Myers

PRICE: $12.5 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $2.63 million, April 2004

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Cheffy Passidomo PA, Naples

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Naples-based Arthrex Inc. purchased the 238,000-square-foot Robb & Stucky corporate headquarters and distribution facility for $12.5 million.

The price equated to $52 per square foot.

Minneapolis-based The Ryan Cos. US Inc., the seller, previously leased the building to Robb & Stucky, a Fort Myers furniture retailer that went bankrupt earlier this year. The 6-year-old facility features 45,584 square feet of office space and another 191,936 square feet of warehouse space.

Gary Tasman and Shawn Stoneburner of Commercial Property Southwest Florida LLC, a Cushman and Wakefield alliance member, represented the seller.

“This is by fair the largest and most expensive transaction of this type in many, many years,” Tasman says. “This was one of the few users that was a perfect fit for this building.”

The medical-device manufacturer has also announced plans to build a new corporate facility on Oil Well Road in eastern Collier County and buy a warehouse near Daniels Parkway in Lee County, spending $35 million.
